After being cut by the Houston Texans for obvious salary cap reasons, the career of defensive back Danieal Manning has taken him to the Cincinnati Bengals, if only temporarily. The veteran defensive back is visiting the Bengals following his release on Monday by the Texans.

Manning has been around the NFL a while and is a veteran that a lot of defenses would love to have hanging around if for nothing other than experience. He’s had some down years and he’s far from being a lock down safety, but he’s still effective enough for the Bengals to be rightfully interested.

It’s unclear if a deal will get worked out or if there is any interest elsewhere for Manning but he’s probably going to find a job somewhere this offseason. Safety is a hard position to fill and it’s even harder to find a veteran like Manning who can be plugged in and show an up and comer the ropes.
