Heyward-Bey was the seventh overall draft pick in 2009 by the Oakland Raiders. He caught 140 passes for 2,071 yards while with the Raiders. His best season was a 64 reception, 975 yard campaign in 2011. Last season Heyward-Bey played for the Indianapolis Colts where he caught 29 passes of 309 yards, his second worst season of his career.
Heyward-Bey is a depth signing and might be lucky to find himself third on the depth chart behind Antonio Brown, who is fresh of a 1,499 yard season, and a promising Markus Wheaton. He’d have to compete with Jerricho Cotchery for that third spot.
