The Minnesota Vikings drafted Kyle Rudolph with the hopes of making him one of the best tight ends in the game, but according to the man himself says that he’s already there. While it’a a bold statement to make, Rudolph spoke to the Pioneer Press and noted that while he has respect for Jason Witten, Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham, he believes he’s just as good as they are.

Per the Pioneer Press:

"“There’s a ton of talented tight ends in our game,” Rudolph said after an event promoting Second Harvest Heartland and its Great American Milk Drive in St. Paul. “You have guys that play at a high level, like Jimmy Graham, Rob Gronkowski, Jason Witten and Vernon Davis. But I would put myself up there with them."

Rudolph may not be 100 percent in his assertion but he’s not far off. While he’s yet to have a true breakout year, he has the skill set and the tools to have one in 2014. With Norv Turner in town, Rudolph is poised to have a great season and we very well could be sitting here in 2015 talking about who the next Kyle Rudolph will be.
