We had more confirmation of the obvious on Thursday morning as the agent for running back Chris Johnson went on SiriusXM NFL Radio to dish about he current situation he and Johnson are in with the Tennessee Titans. It’s png been expected that the Titans will move on from Johnson in one way or another and Johnson’s agent Joel Segal confirmed that a trade or a release is imminent.

Per SiriusXM NFL Radio

"“I had some communications with the Titans management today,” Segal said. “I think it’s a matter of time before Chris won’t be with the Titans. I just don’t know when.”"

It was months ago when this was first brought up as a possibility by Jim Wyatt, the Titans beat writer, and since then the story has only gained steam. The New York Jets are interested in ‘pouncing’ on Johnson should he be cut, and it’s sounding more and more like that could happen before the start of next week.

Tennessee may still be trying to trade Johnson, but if both Darrelle Revis and DeSean Jackson couldn’t be traded, it’s far more likely that Johnson is cut sooner rather than later.
