The Buffalo Bills and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to reach an agreement on a trade that would send a sixth round pick from Buffalo to Tampa Bay in exchange for wide receiver Mike Williams.

It’s not that bad of a deal for the Bills, which could work out perfectly in their favor. Chicago was able to steal Brandon Marshall away from the Miami Dolphins a couple seasons ago with just a third round pick. No, I’m not comparing Williams to Marshall, but Williams is still a great receiver.

I just think a sixth round draft pick was pretty cheap.

Now with Williams in Buffalo, where does that leave Stevie Johnson? Buffalo will only take a $1.8 million hit from Williams, but will take a $8.5 million hit with Johnson. According to ESPN’s Mike Rodak, the Buffalo Bills could possibly move on from Stevie Johnson.

Buffalo could approach Johnson with a possible pay cut, but there’s a chance that he’s going to decline their offer. If they do release him outright, they’ll take a hefty hit and only free up $25,000 in cap space.
