There is a general consensus that South Carolina Gamecocks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is the best defensive player in the draft, if not the best player overall. On Tuesday’s episode of NBCSN’s Pro Football Talk, former Georgia Bulldog quarterback Aaron Murray was asked who the best defensive player he faced in SEC was and pegged Clowney..

“Clowney, no doubt about it,” Murray said.  “He’s a special player, a player you really have to game plan against. . . .  He’ll really make you change things up, to be able to get two guys on him at all times, and being able to run away from him.”

The biggest knock on Clowney has been his work ethic, which he says is pretty good.

“I still have a lot of proving to do, but today was another step to show them what I’ve got, show them that my cardio is good and I can move,” Clowney said, via the Miami Herald. “People keep questioning my work ethic and my work ethic is pretty good. I was out here trying to prove that today.”
