NFL Draft 2014: Teddy Bridgewater’s agent responds to negative reports

In recent weeks, former Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has been hammered in the media and has watched his draft stock take a plunge, with the most recent reports saying the quarterback has struggled through individual team workouts.

However, Bridgewater’s agent responded to those claims and has a different idea of how Bridgewater’s pre-draft process has been playing out.

Bridgewater’s agent, Kennard McGuire, emailed Pro Football Talk to respond to the claims of Bridgewater’s “shaky” workouts, and he claims that the quarterback has had nothing but positive evaluations from teams.

“I have a tremendous amount of respect for journalists who work in this new age of media,” McGuire wrote.  “While I am certain this statement wasn’t intended to be misleading, it is my duty to remove and eliminate any doubt.

“Teddy has visited multiple teams with more workouts and visits coming in the near future.  The assessment we received from the one workout was ‘simply amazing and sharp,’ and we expect nothing short or less than stellar in the upcoming workouts in the very near future.”

It’s no surprise that Bridgewater’s agent is trying to damage control, but the truth will finally come out on draft day.

If the recent way that the media has been portraying Bridgewater’s stock is accurate, he will likely suffer from a drafy day slide.
