While the Minneosta Vikings decided to go out and sign other defensive lineman, thus ending the tenure of Kevin Williams with the team, the future is still bright for the former Pro Bowler as he could be finding work soon in the Big Apple.

According to the Star Tribune’s Mark Craig, the New York Giants have met with Williams and even went as far as to wine and dine him in the process.

"Williams, who turns 34 in August, flew to Newark, N.J., from Atlanta this afternoon. He had dinner with Giants defensive line coach Robert Nunn and other Giants defensive coaches tonight and will meet with head coach Tom Coughlin and members of the Giants’ front office on Tuesday."

If he indeed signs with the Giants, it would be the first time since 2003 that Williams put on a jersey other than a Vikings one, as he’s played in Minnesota since being drafted in the first round over a decade ago. But the Vikings seem to be moving on to greener pastures and the same may soon be able to be said about Williams.
