Wow, yesterday had some great pitching duels.  The Chris Sale & Jon Lester matchup was great. The Red Sox finally mustered up some runs.  George Springer got called up since I last posted an article on here.  Will he be in my daily fantasy baseball lineup? We shall see.  My one goal is to win you, and I, some extra beer money.  So let’s dive in to it.

All plays are based on DraftKings play values.

SP 1 – Sonny Gray, Oakland Athletics, $10,200 – Gray will face the Houston Astros tomorrow.  Do I really need to give you a reason to start him against the Astros???

SP 2 – Martin Perez, Texas Rangers, $9,000 – Perez is an underrated lefty.  His adversary tonight will be the Chicago White Sox.  The White Sox can’t hit left handed pitching as we saw last night against Jon Lester.  Perez is one of the sneakier plays tonight since a lot of people will use bigger name guys.

C – John Jaso, Oakland Athletics, $2,600 – Jaso isn’t exactly a punt play.  He is a right handed pitcher killer, I like him tonight against Jarred Cosart.  Feel free to add him to all your daily lineups.

1B – Miguel Cabrera, Detroit Tigers, $5,100 – Today is Cabrera’s birthday.  I have a weird feeling he will light up Jeff Weaver like one of his birthday candles tonight.  Call it a hunch.

2B – Scooter Gennett, Milwaukee Brewers, $2,200 – Gennett is my go to punt play at 2B or SS when my funds are low.  I like to play him against righties, which he will be facing today in Charlie Morton.

3B – Mike Moustakas, Kansas City Royals, $3,000 – Moustakas finally hit a homer the other night.  Maybe he is turning the corner? Either way I like him tonight against the Twins.

SS – Troy Tulowitzki, Colorado Rockies, $5,500 – The Phillies make their way to Colorado this weekend.  You know what that means?  Stack your rosters up with Rockies and Phillies.

OF 1 – Carlos Gonzalez, Colorado Rockies, $5,700 – See Tulowitzki, Troy

OF 2 – George Springer, Houston Astros, $2,600 – I will plug Springer into my lineup everyday as long as his price stays under $3,000.  Springer is a five-tool player and is a threat to erupt on any given night.

OF 3 – Brandon Moss, Oakland Athletics, $3,800 – Moss is criminally underpriced tonight, especially against a right-handed pitcher.  This price is a gift.  Throw him in your lineup with confidence.

As always please check team lineups and weather conditions before you submit your rosters.
