The Cincinnati Bengals currently have one of the more promising young running backs in the league on their roster in Giovanni Bernard, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t seek out some help in the backfield for him in the NFL Draft next month, and they’re going to explore that possibility on Monday as they visit with LSU running back Jeremy Hill.

Hill has been the staple in the LSU backfield for the past few seasons, rushing for 2,156 yards and 21 touchdowns while averaging 6.2 yards per carry.

Les Miles’ former favorite freight train would be a nice complement to Bernard in Cincinnati. Bernard is versatile and can catch the ball out of the backfield, while Hill would take care of the bruising, in-between-the-tackles runs. Plus, not to mention, both youngsters would be kept fresh splitting time back there.

As of right now, Hill is projected to land somewhere in the second round, and would be a nice addition if he’s still sitting there for the Bengals to grab.
