The Orlando Magic drafted Victor Oladipo with the second overall pick in hopes that they could use him at both guard spots.

Although Oladipo had a very nice rookie season, he struggled trying to play point guard throughout the season and looks like more of a natural shooting guard.

According to Chad Ford, ESPN’s NBA Draft Insider, the Magic want to keep Oladipo at shooting guard and draft a pure point guard.

"They want a point guard. They experimented with Victor Oladipo there, but preferably they get a young player that is more of a true point. Exum and Marcus Smart are the guys for them. They would’ve taken Smart No. 2 last year, but I think Exum has moved ahead. Lakers also really like Exum. So do the Jazz and Bucks."

Both the Magic and the Lakers have been connected to Exum for some time. Both teams need a young point guard.

As for the Jazz and Bucks, Exum doesn’t make as much sense.

The Bucks spend big money on Brandon Jennings last year and the Jazz drafted Trey Burke in the 2013 draft.
