Now that seemingly everyone associated with the NBA wants Los Angeles Clippers’ owner Donald Sterling to somehow lose control of the team, which would likely mean selling the team, there have been a few rumored candidates that could be interested in buying the squad.

A group led by Magic Johnson, which recently bought the Los Angeles Dodgers, is reportedly interested in buying the team if they do indeed go up for sale.

According to TMZ.com, another candidate, billionaire real estate developer Rick Caruso, is ready to make a play to buy the team.

"Caruso — who made a run to purchase the L.A. Dodgers back in 2012 — tells us … “If [The Clippers] become available, I would absolutely be interested.”Rick notes, “We have a group still together from when we looked at the Dodgers … and if it makes sense, I’ll take a shot at it.”While Sterling has not expressed any plans to sell the Clips, Caruso believes it’s something D.S. absolutely HAS to do … for the sake of the players, the fans and the league."

There should be even more candidates emerging before this whole mess is resolved.
