The Chicago Bulls are at home watching these exciting first round playoff games with the rest of us as they got bounced by the Washington Wizards last week. But while their season is now over, steps are being taken to better the team next year and that has apparently started with recruiting Carmelo Anthony.

Technically, this recruiting of Melo is a continuation of what Joakim Noah started in New Orleans during the All-Star game. According to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times, Noah is back on the recruiting trail to try and get Carmelo Anthony to come to Chicago.

Per Joe Cowley for the Chicago Sun-Times:

"“According to several sources, including a teammate, Noah’s All-Star Weekend ‘conversation’ with New York Knicks standout Carmelo Anthony didn’t end in New Orleans. They had discussions via text the rest of the season, including the day after the Bulls were eliminated in the playoffs by the Washington Wizards.”"

Bulls fans have been on the fence about signing Melo, but the team’s early exit from the postseason and their lack of having Derrick Rose around has them wanting a star to fall back on. A ‘Big 3’ of Rose, Noah and Anthony is enticing and it’s starting to sound more and more like a reality.
