Now that the Los Angeles Lakers and former head coach Mike D’Antoni have parted ways, the Lakers have turned their attention to finding a new coach. One name that keeps coming up in connection with the Lakers (and potentially the Oklahoma City Thunder) is current Connecticut Huskies’ coach Kevin Ollie.
According to Bill Reiter, a Fox Sports 1 NBA Insider and Fox Sports Radio Host, Ollie plans on staying with the Huskies, but still wants to listen to what the Lakers have to say.
Source close to Kevin Ollie says he plans to visit with Lakers in coming weeks about head-coaching job. Meeting not yet set up but expected.

Of course, P.J. Carlesimo had the same thought when he interviewed in Portland. Then Paul Allen wrote a number io a piece of paper. #$$$$

Ollie doesn’t have to go anywhere, but probably owes it to himself to at least listen to what the Lakers have to say.
