There has been a lot said about where Steve Kerr will end up in 2014-15 and if he’ll be the head coach of the New York Knicks and it appears that we’re moving closer to a final decision. Despite this supposedly being a done deal as far back as a week ago, the Knicks are moving closer to officially making Kerr their head coach.

According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, the Knicks and Steve Kerr are close to finalizing a deal that would make the TNT announcer the next head coach of the New York Knicks.

Kerr has long been the frontrunner to land the job in New York and it seems like only a matter of time before it’s indeed a done deal. The fact that nothing has been made official is only mildly troubling as despite rumors that the Warriors are interested in Kerr, there seems to be no movement there.

This whole deal may still fall through, as this isn’t the first time we’ve heard that the Knicks and Kerr are finalizing a deal, but one of these times it will be true as there’s no better landing spot for Kerr than with the Knicks.
