There have been some pretty terrible ceremonial first pitches over the years – right Carl Lewis? – but this isn’t one of them.

This was one of the cooler first pitches you will ever see in your life. Kitty Cohen is 101 years old and she tossed out the first pitch at the Blue Jays game on Mother’s Day.

We can all only hope that when we are 101, we will still be able to underhand toss a baseball with accuracy from 30 feet.

I’m pretty sure that’s not where I will be at 101. If I’m even alive at that point, I’m picturing myself in more of a stationary situation, probably hooked up to multiple machines.

Kitty Cohen has better genes than me.

She was pretty into her first pitch too. According to the Toronto Sun, Kitty practiced for a month in preparation for her big moment.

The paper also says that Kitty was disappointed when she learned she would not be allowed to run the bases.

Ah, they wouldn’t let her run the bases? Why not?

Maybe it was an insurance issue.
