On Monday, CNN aired an interview between disgraced Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling and Anderson Cooper. It should come as no surprise, but Sterling continued to make shocking comments and even verbally attacked Magic Johnson yet again.

Sterling claimed that Magic Johnson has done nothing to help the Los Angeles community saying, “He has done nothing. He has AIDs.”

While neither comment is factually accurate, NBA commissioner Adam Silver responded to the interview by once again apologizing to Johnson and saying that the NBA is working hard to remove Sterling as quickly as possible.

“I just read a transcript of Donald Sterling’s interview with Anderson Cooper and while Magic Johnson doesn’t need me to, I feel compelled on behalf of the NBA family to apologize to him that he continues to be dragged into this situation and be degraded by such a malicious and personal attack,” Sterling said in a statement.

“The NBA Board of Governors is continuing with its process to remove Mr. Sterling as expeditiously as possible.”

It is going to be difficult to speed up the process and remove Sterling in the near future, but Silver is saying all of the right things to keep the fans and players in his corner.
