Missouri Tigers defensive end Michael Sam had to wait till nearly the very end of the 2014 NFL Draft to hear his name called by the St. Louis Rams. It was the 249th pick of the 256 picks made in the 2014 NFL Draft, and Dallas sports anchor Dale Hansen wasn’t having it.

“248 [players] better than the SEC’s defensive player of the year? There’s just no way,” Hansen said.

He also addressed the outrage over ESPN showing Sam kiss his boyfriend which included former Texas Longhorns quarterback Case McCoy weighing in on Twitter.

“Which is ironically what most Texas fans said when Case McCoy ran onto the football field,” Hansen quipped.

He also hilariously goes on to say he has worked with gay men and have never encountered any problems and has never been hit on. And that pisses Hansen off cause according to him he was a good looking guy back in the day.
