NBA Rumors: Cleveland Cavaliers interested in Lionel Hollins, George Karl & Scott Skiles
On Monday, the Cleveland Cavaliers promoted David Griffin from interim general manager, giving him the full time gig and fired head coach Mike Brown.
There have been several candidates mentioned in connection with the job and Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio, listed four more names, Lionel Hollins, George Karl, Jerry Sichting and Scott Skiles.
"Potential candidates include former Suns coaches Mike D’Antoni and Scott Skiles, current Suns assistant Jerry Sichting, former Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson, former NBA Coach of the Year George Karl, and former Memphis Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins, who has already expressed an interest in the job."
Both Hollins and Karl had surprising endings to their tenures in 2013. Hollins led the Memphis Grizzlies to the Western Conference Finals while Karl was named Coach of the Year before being fired by the Denver Nuggets.
Skiles and the Bucks parted ways 32 games into the 2012-13 season.
