The Orlando Magic got an excellent season out of swingman Arron Afflalo and have him on a more than reasonable contract for his production (He will make $7.5 million next season and has a player option for the same amount for the 2015-16 season).

However, if the Magic are done with the Victor Oladipo point guard experiment, Afflalo may be blocking the promising rookie.

Chuck Myron of Draft Express wonders what a package of Afflalo and the Magic’s second lottery pick, which would be the 12th-overall pick right now, could net the Magic.

"I think Afflalo and the No. 12 would be a pretty intriguing package to throw at another team, and it would be an opportunity to accelerate the rebuilding process in Orlando (which GM Rob Hennigan has been reluctant to do, by the way). I don’t think it would be enough to grab a superstar like Rondo or Love, but maybe a guy on the next tier. If you’re thinking of trades that could allow the Magic to move up from No. 12, I don’t think they’d trade Afflalo to do so. They’ll have enough young pieces as is, and I don’t think they want to get rid of a productive veteran who doesn’t seem to cause trouble."

Afflalo averaged 18.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game this season.
