The NFL Draft has come and gone but the ramifications of what happened will have a ripple effect long into the season this year. One situation to monitor thanks to the draft is the running back position in Cleveland as the Browns not only signed Ben Tate this offseason but drafted Towson standout Terrance West on the third day of the draft.

As a result, NFL Network’s Charley Casserly is predicting that West will beat out Tate for the starting gig and outproduce him throughout the season.

This is a bold prediction but one that may not be that far off. There are doubts about Tate being able to carry an offense on his own as he rode the wave Arian Foster created in Houston. He won’t be the sole running back in Cleveland either as the Browns will be going with a heavy running attack after losing Josh Gordon for an unknown period of time to suspension.

West caught a lot of attention at Towson, and while it seems bold to say he’ll outproduce Tate, it may not be that far off.
