The New Orleans Saints, QB Drew Brees and head coach Sean Payton made another trip to the playoffs in 2013, finishing the regular season 11-5 and defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round. They were defeated in the next round by the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.

Whenever you have Brees and Payton working together, the Saints are always a contender to capture the Lombardi Trophy and 2014 will be no different. That journey will begin soon as the team begins their offseason workout activities.

Here’s a look at the spring and summer schedule for the Saints as they get set for another playoff run.

OTA offseason workouts: May 27-29, June 3-5, June 16-19
Mandatory minicamp: June 10-12

The Saints, both offensively and defensively, were one of the best teams in the entire league statistically, and in the offseason they helped improve those even more.

In free agency, the team went out and signed free agent defensive backs Champ Bailey and Jairus Byrd, and in the NFL Draft this past weekend, they took one of the best wide receivers available in Brandin Cooks, so the prospects for this team in 2014 are scary.
