Wilmer Cabrera’s Chivas USA are soaring high after a landmark 3-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids. Today, the Goats will look to improve on their record when they travel to Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Tex. to take on Oscar Pareja’s FC Dallas. Dallas are coming off a tough 2-1 defeat to the San Jose Earthquakes on the road and will need to be a bit more convincing in their efforts at home.

Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. PT/7:30 p.m. CT/8:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by MLS LIVE. Here are 10 Bold Predictions for the match between FC Dallas and Chivas USA.

1. Marvin Chavez with a brace

With new acquisition Marvin Chavez on the Chivas USA first team, there has been new life to the offense. Chavez brings speed and quickness that had been lacking for the Goats prior. Chavez will earn another brace, adding to his tally from last weekend.

2. Erick Torres will score

This season, Erick Torres has eight goals this season and is one of MLS’s top goalscorers. Look for Torres to make it nine and inch closer to an MLS All-Star Game call-up.

3. Leandro Barrera with an assist

Leandro Barrera has two assists this season, but the importance that he brings to the team is invaluable. Watch for Barrera to be involved in at least one of the successful goal sequences for Chivas.

4. Dan Kennedy with at least four saves

Chivas goalkeeper Dan Kennedy has 22 saves this season. As long as he doesn’t put himself in a position to earn a red card, Kennedy will make at least four saves on the night.

5. Michel will score for Dallas

Michel is FC Dallas’s top goalscorer with five goals this season. Look for the Brazilian to add another goal to help Dallas.

6. Blas Perez with a goal and an assist

Blas Perez will need a big game this weekend against Chivas USA, who are full of confidence after a strong showing on the road. The Panamanian international will record a goal and an assist.

7. Mauro Diaz with a goal and an assist

Also with a big game will be FC Dallas’s Mauro Diaz, who has three goals and three assists. On Saturday against Chivas, he will make it four and four with another goal and assist.

8. Chris Seitz with at least five saves

FC Dallas goalkeeper Chris Seitz has 31 saves to his record this year, and he will make at least five saves on Saturday to help his team. Moving right along…

9. Under 40 fouls and four cards

There shouldn’t be too much chippiness in this game, unlike other matches. The MLS Multiplex predicts that under 40 fouls will be whistles and under four cards will be issued.

10. This match…will end in a draw

This will be an entertaining contest at Toyota Stadium, without question. However, neither team will have a clear advantage over the other on the scoreline. The Plex calls for a draw in Frisco.
