NBA Rumors: Tristan Thompson voices frustration with Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers are in a period of transition yet again as they’ve fired head coach Mike Brown and are looking to replace him with someone who won’t be fired in the near future. That’s clearly a lot easier said than done in Cleveland but the Cavaliers are still trying and they need to make sure whatever they do keeps the players they have on roster happy.

So far, that hasn’t been the case as forward Tristan Thompson has come forward to voice his frustration with having to deal with a third coach in as many years.

Per Mary Schmitt Boyer of The Plain Dealer:

"“It’s the business of basketball,” said Thompson. “Whenever you lose someone or someone leaves the family it’s tough, but like I tell young guys: It’s the business of basketball.”"

Thompson isn’t asking to be traded nor is he demanding a release, but fans have to wonder if Thompson isn’t the only one getting sick and tired of the ‘business of basketball’ being a lame idiom for ‘poorly run basketball team’. Thompson isn’t the star on the Cavaliers, Kyrie Irving is and if Thompson is publicly stating his frustrations, we can only imagine what Irving is voicing behind the scenes.
