Torii Hunter blasts deep home run for Tigers (Video)

Trevor Bauer took the mound as the starting pitcher for the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday night against the streaking Detroit Tigers. Having struggled through an up and down career thus far, Bauer was greeted rudely by veteran Torii Hunter.
Bauer got too much of the plate with a fastball and Hunter launched it into the left-center field seats.

The Tigers have not been missing many mistakes lately. Led by sluggers Miguel Cabrera and Victor Martinez, the AL Central leaders have been on fire and garnering a lot of attention as the best team in all of baseball. Coming off an extra innings loss on Monday, it is not surprising that the Tigers were able to take an early lead in this one.
As for Hunter, he just keeps clipping along. At 38 years old he is slashing .294/.325/.462 and has five home runs this season. He doesn’t have the goods to carry a lineup, but the Tigers don’t need him to do that. As far as complementary players go, it is hard to beat the consistent play that Hunter brings for the Tigers.
