Nobody can accuse Troy Tulowitzki of lacking a sense of humor. Taste in music maybe, but a sense of humor no.

Tulo’s great sense of fun came into play Thursday when the Rockies shortstop found himself fending off accusations of sign-stealing. Giants announcer Mike Krukow fired up the controversy by claiming Tulowitki’s .521 home batting average could only be the result of signals being intercepted and relayed to the player.

What did Tulo say in response to Krukow? He didn’t have to say anything, he let his walk-up music do his talking for him. When Tulo went to the plate Thursday, the PA system in Coors Field was blasting the Ace of Base song “The Sign,” featuring the memorable – and in this case trollishly applicable – lyric “I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes.”

And that was pretty much the perfect retort to Mike Krukow and his jeluz hating. Hear that Krukow? Diss Troy Tulowitzki and you will get Ace of Based. Keep that crap up and he will bust out some Five Man Electrical Band on your butt.

Oh yeah, signs signs everywhere the signs. Blocking out YOUR scenery Mike Krukow.
