NBA Draft Rumors 2014: Miami Heat to work out Jordan Clarkson & Jordan Adams

On Monday it was reported that former Tennessee Volunteers’ forward Jarnell Stokes would be working out for the Miami Heat on Thursday (and the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday).

Stokes measured in at 6’8.5 and 263 pounds with a wingspan of 7’1.25 at the NBA Scouting Combine. Stokes averaged 15.6 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game for the Volunteers last season.  He really came on during the NCAA Tournament, leading the Volunteers to the Sweet 16.

The Heat, who are on the verge of advancing to the NBA Finals for the third straight season have also scheduled workouts with two other prospects along with Stokes on Thursday.

According to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com, they will also be workout out former Missouri Tigers’ point guard/shooting guard Jordan Clarkson and former UCLA Bruins’ guard Jordan Adams.

Clarkson, who measured in at 6’5 and 186 pounds with a wingspan of 6’8 at the NBA’s Scouting Combine, spent his first two seasons with the Tulsa Golden Hurricane before playing one season with the Tigers. He averaged 17.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game last season. He is viewed by most as a second round prospect and Draft Express ranks him as the 47th-best prospect in the draft.

At the combine, Adams came in at 6’4.75 and 209 pounds with a wingspan of 6’10. Adams put up 17.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 2.3 assists per game for the Bruins in the 2013-2014 season. He  is ranked as the 26th-best prospect in the draft by Draft Express.
