On Wednesday reports started coming out that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith, who led the team to a 9-0 start in 2013, is looking for a big payday. According to NFL media insider Ian Rapoport, he is pushing to be paid like a top-tier quarterback.
Rapoport went on to say that if the Chiefs and Smith can’t get a deal done, they’d be willing to use the franchise tag on him for the 2015 season, and the issues with and distance between the two sides was a driving force in the Chiefs looking at taking a quarterback early in the draft.
Other reports confirmed or jumped on the bandwagon report.
Mr @Rapsheet reported Alex Smith is "pushing to be paid like top-tier QB." That's $18M+ per year, so there's your holdup in contract talks.

Well Mrs. Smith begs to differ and says that it is “comical.” She goes on to say that the they’re misinformed and that their “sources” aren’t being honest and open.
@evansilva @RapSheet Although I find this comical.. You are clearly misinformed!! Your "source" is leading you astray😁

Rapoport is trying to figure out what part of the report is incorrect, but Mrs. Smith hasn’t responded yet.
@lizbsmith11 Which part is misinformed?
