NBA Draft Rumors 2014: Philadelphia 76ers work out James McAdoo, Roscoe Smith, James Bell, Chris Fouch, Luke Hancock & Niels Giffey

The Philadelphia 76ers, who drafted the 2013-2014 Rookie of the Year, former Syracuse Orange point guard Michael Carter-Williams, and acquired who many originally thought was the top prospect in the 2013 NBA Draft, former Kentucky Wildcats’ big man Nerlens Noel, will again be one of the teams to watch in the draft this year.

The 76ers own the third and 10th overall picks in next month’s draft and also have five second round picks – numbers 32, 39, 47, 52, and 54. 

That’s why the 76ers have been busy working out as many prospects as possible.

According to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the 76ers hosted former North Carolina Tar Heels’ forward James McAdoo, former Connecticut Huskies’ forward Roscoe Smith, former Villanova Wildcats’ swingman James Bell, former Drexel Dragons’ guard Chris Fouch, former Louisville Cardinals’ forward Luke Hancock, and former Huskies’ forward Niels Giffey for workouts on Tuesday.

McAdoo, ranked as Draft Express’ 59th-best prospect, averaged 14.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game last season. Smith, the 36th-ranked junior prospect, put up 11.1 points and 10.9 rebounds per game last season. Bell, the 54th-ranked senior prospect, went for 14.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Fouch averaged 18.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Hancock averaged 12.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. Giffey, 100th-ranked prospect, went for 8.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game game last season.
