Recently, the Milwaukee Bucks underwent an ownership change, as long time owner Herb Kohl decided to sell the team. Snatching the Bucks up for the cool price of $550 million, were Marc Lasry and Wes Edens.

More from Milwaukee Bucks

Last night, as their official welcome to Milwaukee, Lasry and Edens went downtown to a bar to hang out, watch basketball and drink beer with any and all Bucks fans that wanted to show up. All in all, a couple hundred fans attended the event last night, which brought a lot of excitement to the city. Though they’ve made the playoffs in recent years, the Bucks haven’t been relevant since the Ray Allen days back in the early 2000s. With new owners, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the number two overall pick, however, there’s some reason to think that might change in the next few years.

Lasry and Edens made a few opening remarks to open the event and then spent the rest of the evening mingling with fans, listening to all sorts of draft ideas, and taking pictures. If you go to the Bucks’ website, you can see all sorts of pictures from the joyous night. Here is a sampling so you can get an idea what the event was like.

It was a very informal and unique event, as the new owners ingratiated themselves with the community by simply having conversations with everyone like they were just another guy at the bar.
