A report from CBS 4 states John Elway III, who goes by the nickname Jack, was arrested on charges of assault and disturbing the peace.

The details are troubling.

The 24-year-old Jack Elway allegedly pushed a 23-year-old woman out of a moving vehicle before being booked. He was later released on $500 bond and authorities issued a protective order to keep Elway away from the victim.

Elway was arrested at the family home in Cherry Hills Village before being transported to Denver jail.

When CBS 4 reached out to Elway’s attorney, Harvey Steinberg, he declined comment on the allegations.

According to the timetable of the report, the incident occurred on Friday and Elway is due back in court on June 5.

The good news is that the woman seemed to escape any noticeable injuries in the avoidable incident.
