San Francisco 49ers star quarterback Colin Kaepernick was awarded one of the most lucrative contracts in NFL history on Wednesday as he and the organization agree on a six-year extension worth over $126 million, with an eye-popping $60 million of that guaranteed.
But what’s better, in reality, getting a hefty contract or a new wardrobe?
Okay, not many people are going to side with the wardrobe part, but if you’re one of the folks that do, then you believe that it’s not the 49ers quarterback that won out, rather it’s the team’s mascot, Sourdough Sam.
With the team getting set to settle into their new home of Levi’s Stadium, the folks at the popular jeans company decided to bestow upon Sam some new digs to wear on the sideline for the upcoming season.
On Wednesday, they tweeted out a sneak peek of the photo shoot they conducted with the 49ers’ mascot, and well, let’s just say that Kaepernick isn’t the only one getting the superstar treatment this week.
Not only did they tweet that picture out, they chronicled the entire shoot, including Sam being fitted with his brand new custom fit jeans.
