MLB Draft 2014: Team by team second round order

Today marks the beginning of the 2014 MLB Draft. While the first round will be highlighted with some of the highest signing bonuses and most highly touted prospects, the second round is where teams can’t start to even out their spending.

In round 2, teams make a habit of going after the guys they afforded themselves by picking under their slot in the first round. A couple of mid first round picking teams appear prime candidates to employ this strategy. Look for some big signing bonus numbers in round two.
With dollar values allotted to each pick, many teams tend to underpick their first round talent in hopes of being able to overpay for a player that may be on the fence in terms of signing in the second round.
