NBA Draft Rumors 2014: Raptors work out Kyle Anderson, DeAndre Kane & K.J. McDaniels

The Toronto Raptors had quite the turnaround in the 2013-2014 season.

The Raptors finished 48-34, won the Atlantic Divsion and returned to the postseason where they were defeated by the Brooklyn Nets in seven games in the first round of the playoffs.

Now, their focus is on the evaluation of draft prospects.

According to a press release from the team, the Raptors will be working out former UCLA Bruins’ foward Kyle Anderson, former Iowa State Cyclones’ guard DeAndre Kane, former Clemson Tigers’ swingman K.J. McDaniels, former Tennessee Volunteers’ forward Jordan McRae, former Connecticut Huskies’ forward DeAndre Daniels and former Syracuse Orange forward C.J. Fair.

Here is a rundown of those prospects:

  • Anderson, who measured in at 6’8.5 and 230 lbs. with a wingspan of 7’2.75, put up 14.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.8 steals per game last season. Jonathan Givony ranks Anderson as the 17th-best prospect in the draft.
  • Kane measured in at 6’4.5 and 200 lbs with a wingspan of 6’8. He averaged 17.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He is ranked as 86th-best prospect.
  • McDaniels is 6’6 and 196 lbs. with a wingspan of 6’11.25. He went for 17.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game last season. He is ranked as the 20th-best prospect.
  • McRae, who is 6’5.25 and 179 lbs. with an impressive wingspan of 7’0.5, went for 18.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 blocks per game last season. He is ranked as the draft’s 71st-best prospect.
  • Daniels stands at 6’8.5 and 196 lbs. with a wingspan of 7’2. He averaged 13.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. He is ranked as the 32nd-best prospect.
  • Fair is 6’8 and 218 lbs with a wingspan of 6’9.5 He averaged 16.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He is ranked as the 72nd-best prospect.

The Raptors hold the 20th-overall, 37th-overall and 59th-overall picks in the draft.
