NBA Draft Rumors 2014: San Antonio Spurs work out Cleanthony Early, Glenn Robinson III & Isaiah Austin

It is obviously a huge day for the San Antonio Spurs as they prepare for game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat Thursday night.

It is also, however, a big day for the future of the Spurs’ franchise. On Thursday, the Spurs are set to work out several prospects. The Spurs are a team that has been built through the draft and the Spurs would obviously like to find another gem or two with the 30th, 58th and 60th-overall picks in the 2014 NBA Draft.

According to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com, the Spurs are working out former Michigan Wolverines’ forward Glenn Robinson III, former Wichita State Shockers’ forward Cleanthony Early and former Baylor Bears’ center Isaiah Austin.

Robinson, who measured in at 6’6.75″ and 211 lbs. with a 6’10” wingspan at the NBA’s Scouting Combine, believes the workout went very well.

He averaged 13.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game last season. Jonathan Givony ranks Robinson as the 33rd-best prospect in the draft.

Early, who measured in at 6’7.25 and 209 lbs. with a wingspan of 6’10.75, put up 16.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game last season. He is ranked as the draft’s 30th-best prospect.

Austin put up 11.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.2 blocks and 1.4 assists per game last season and is ranked as the the 35th-best prospect in the draft. At the NBA’s Scouting Combine, he measured in at 7’0.5 and 220 lbs. with a wingspan of 7’4.5.

The draft is Thursday, June 26.
