ESPN radio station trying to get Drake media credentials for NBA Finals
By Jack Crosby
The NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs has been quiet on one specific front–we haven’t really seen nor heard from NBA superfan Drake. Although his beloved Toronto Raptors were knocked out early by the Brooklyn Nets, we figured that we would have seen a lot more of him by now.

Well, an ESPN radio station down in Florida is trying to not only help with that, but they’re trying to get Drake some media access to get him right in the middle of everything.
Remember this from last year when he was shut out of the Heat’s locker room celebration because he wasn’t credentialed media and he pouted?
Well, this ESPN station in West Palm officially sent this letter to the NBA offices to try and make sure that it doesn’t happen again.
Oh yeah, that’s official alright; has his full name and everything.
But let’s also be a little realistic, giving Drake a press pass would serve no purpose whatsoever other than probably taking a spot from someone who deserves it more just for the sake of a little media attention.
In no way whatsoever could anyone in the NBA consider Drake “media” for the NBA Finals. Now maybe if this were for his Raptors team early on in the playoffs, okay, but for something as lucrative as the NBA Finals, that ESPN station should get a quick reply back that politely states: No, absolutely not.
