Georgia Football Recruiting: 3-star CB Deandre Baker commits to Bulldogs
By Jack Crosby
The Georgia Bulldogs and head coach Mark Richt got a nice surprise on Wednesday as they received a commitment from three-star cornerback Deandre Baker out of Northwestern High School in Miami, Florida.
Baker had a plethora of offers from other schools such as the Cincinnati Bearcats, Kentucky Wildcats and Clemson Tigers, although he ultimately decided on Wednesday that spending the next few seasons in Athens was the right choice for him.

According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, Baker is a three-star prospect as it the 62nd rated player at his position in the 2015 class and the 801st overall. Not eye-popping numbers by any means, but there is a lot of potential for Baker to come in and make a nice impact on this Georgia program.
As for the impact this has on the Bulldogs’ 2015 class, Baker becomes the 10th commitment for Richt and company. The 2015 class currently ranks 13th nationally and eighth in the SEC.
With still a lot of time left in the recruiting period for 2015, there’s a good chance that the class rank, both nationally and in the conference, will take a jump for Georgia as more and more of these commitments come in. Baker’s on Wednesday certainly helped that cause.
