The majority of prognosticators have projected the Orlando Magic to pick Exum. The team has reportedly been interested in Exum for some time and have an obvious need at point guard.
However, it isn’t just the Magic who are eyeing Exum. The Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers, who hold the second-overall and third-overall picks are also very high on Exum and all three teams will be working Exum out. In fact, the Bucks reportedly value Exum over both former Kansas Jayhawks’ forward Andrew Wiggins and former Duke Blue Devils’ forward Jabari Parker.
During his weekly chat, Joel Brigham of Basketball Insiders was asked about Exum and reported he really does appear to be as good as advertised.
"Bambang sisig sarapAlot of hype on exum, im just seing at best a small nic batum or a jeremy lamb. Is it all hype done by his agent? Whats the update on drose and should fans be excited on getting a superstar like love or should teams just model their system to the spurs, no egos just the system to win?Joel BrighamHe apparently really is that good. 6’6″ point guard don’t come around very often, and the fact that’s he so gifted and likable makes him a lottery pick for sure, and very likely top-4 in a couple of weeks. He’s much, much better than Lamb. Batum might not be a bad comparison, if Batum were a point guard."
Exum measured in at 6’6 and 196 lbs. with a wingspan of 6’9.5 at the NBA’s Scouting Combine.
