Last year, the Spurs fell victim to the Heat after holding a 2-1 series, but they do not seem worried about potentially suffering the same fate in 2014 and watching the Heat claim the NBA title when it is all said and done.
“I don’t think about last year at all at this point,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said, via ESPN.com. “I don’t think about last year Game 3, Game 4, at all. This is a different animal and I’m just concerned about the game [Thursday] night.”
Whether or not the Spurs can avoid losing to Miami after holding a lead through three games remains to be seen, but their confidence is high and they are continuing to have the right mindset.
