Auburn Football recruiting: 4-star QB Deondre Francois set to land with Tigers?

Things have certainly picked up this week in regards to the recruitment of four-star quarterback Deondre Francois. Within the past few days, Francois has named his top five schools, which he has apparently trimmed down to three now, with the leader presumably being the Auburn Tigers.

Francois recently named a top five of Auburn, the Tennessee Volunteers, Florida State Seminoles, Ohio State Buckeyes and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The latest prodigy out of the IMG Academy took a visit to Auburn recently, and he seemed to be enjoying himself.


Of course, all recruits like where they are visiting in some form or fashion. It’s the opportunity of a lifetime for these youngsters during the recruiting process as they get to travel the country and spend some time on all of these beautiful college campuses as they get set to make their decisions.

However, the events following that visit really have the folks on the Plains excited because he then cancelled his visits to Ohio State and Tennessee.

After all of that, if you look at his twitter timeline from that point on, he shows some love for the Auburn fans, so it looks as if Malzahn could have a nice replacement for Nick Marshall ready to go in the very near future.
