This will actually be the second meeting between the two in Omaha during this year’s event, and if UC Irvine can get their second win over the Longhorns in the last four days, then Texas will be sent packing and the Anteaters’ title hopes will be alive and well.
Back in that first outing, Irvine walked away with a 3-1 victory, unfortunately in their last outing on Monday, they were downed by Vanderbilt, 6-4, to put them on the brink of elimination.
With their backs against the wall on Monday following that loss to Irvine, Texas responded with a huge win over Louisville, knocking them out of the tournament in the process.
Now, these two will square off one more time, only this time, the loser will be headed back home empty-handed.
Here’s how you can watch all the action live on Wednesday:
Date: June 18
Start Time: 8 PM ET
Location: Omaha, NE
Stadium: TD Ameritrade Park
