Puig’s perceived aloofness has led to some of his outstanding throws and catches from right field so far in his young career. Still, how long until he wins a Gold Glove with plays like this one? Puig’s diving catch ended the top of the fourth inning, preserving a 2-0 Dodger lead that shortstop Hanley Ramirez got them with a home run in the bottom of the third.

Puig got his only hit of the night in three attempts so far immediately following Hanley’s home run.
Matt Kemp added a solo home run to lead off the home half of the fourth inning to put the Dodgers up 3-0.
Rosario would exact a mild form of revenge though. The Rockies loaded the bases with no one out in the sixth inning off of Zack Greinke, but only managed a sac fly from Wilin Rosario to get a lone run from this golden opportunity.
Corey Dickerson drove in Josh Rutledge with an RBI double in the seventh to cut the Dodger lead to 3-2.
