According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Timberwolves are willing to part ways with guard Klay Thompson as part of the package to bring Love to the Bay Area.
Stein reports that adding Thompson to a potential compensation package “greatly increasingly Warriors’ hopes of getting Kevin Love.”
Now, we will just have to wait and see if the Timberwolves will bite.
There is a good chance that Love will be traded before he has the opportunity to hit the open market, so getting a player of Thompson’s caliber in return along with some picks may just be enough to get Minnesota to trade away their top star.
Much like Kevin Garnett before him, Love seems to be on the way out despite being one of the best players in franchise history.
In Golden State, Love would boost an already impressive roster and give the Warriors a big time threat both inside of the paint and behind the arch.
