Marcin Gortat has always been an interesting fellow. He’s from Poland, an area of Europe that doesn’t produce a large amount of NBA players, he once suggested adding fighting to the NBA, and he owns a pet pig.

More from NBA

Many questions come up when seeing the picture of Gortat and his pig. One of them being that he called it his puppy. Does he frequently call his pet pig a puppy or was this just a one time joke? What is the pig’s name? If it’s his pet, the pet has to have a name, that’s just common pet courtesy. Does the pig live in his house? If the pig does live in his house, does he not eat bacon, hot dogs, or other pork like foods at all?

So many pig related questions, probably no answers. Gortat has always been a goofy guy and this just helps confirm that.

After being traded to the Wizards last season, Gortat had a bit of a renaissance like season. He was healthy for the first time in years, playing 81 games, and was a key contributor to the Wizards playoff run. He will be a free agent come July 1st and many teams will be interested in a starting caliber big man. After his Instagram post, a lot of fans are probably interested in him for his personality alone.
