ESPYS 2014: Best Team candidates revealed

The month of July is nearly here, which means that it’s almost time for the annual ESPY Awards, recognizing some of the best individual and team accomplishments in sports throughout the past year.

Each year in the middle of July, ESPN holds the event out in Los Angeles, and it has become one of the more popular sporting events of the calendar year, with the best of the best showing up for the festivities.

Voting for the awards this year began on Tuesday and will run through July 16. Also on Tuesday, the candidates for the various categories were released.

Here’s a look at the candidates that were released for Best Team:

Boston Red Sox
LA Kings
Seattle Seahawks
Florida State Football
UConn Women’s Basketball
San Antonio Spurs

Each one of these teams had an exceptional year in their respective sport, culminating in winning a championship. But, when it’s all said and done, only one team can walk away with the trophy.
