Ian Kinsler waves to Rangers dugout after hitting home run (GIF)

In the offseason the Texas Rangers made a somewhat shocking and stunning move, they traded second baseman Ian Kinsler to the Detroit Tigers for first baseman Prince Fielder. The idea was that Fielder would bring a big bat to the Rangers’ line up and Kinsler’s absence would allow Jurickson Profar to get onto the field.

Well the Rangers season isn’t going how they expected it to, they’re five games under .500 and the only team behind them in the division are the Houston Astros. Meanwhile, Kinsler is with the Tigers who are atop their division.
Kinsler didn’t mince words after he was traded, and ripped the Rangers.
“I’ll miss all my teammates,” Kinsler said. “I’ll miss Elvis and Beltre, Mitch [Moreland], Matt Harrison and [Ron] Washington.” But the frustration — with his play, with the team, with the organization — is still so raw. “To be honest with you, I hope they go 0-162. I got friends, and I love my friends, but I hope they lose their ass.”
When he was playing against the Rangers in Arlington on Tuesday he hit a home run, as he trotted to first base he gave his former team a little wave. Just rubbing it in and exacting a bit of revenge on his former team.
