David Price is miffed at all the trade rumors swirling around him, but he might as well get used to it because the hurricane of speculation is only going to get more violent as the trade deadline approaches.

Here is the latest piece of chatter involving Price: the New York Yankees are “heavily” scouting the pitcher. Per NJ.com, the Yankees were among several teams who sent scouts to watch Price throw on Wednesday.

The Blue Jays, Giants, Indians and Cardinals also had a heavy scouting presence at the game according to Marc Tompkin of the Tampa Bay Times.

That would officially make David Price a hot commodity on the trade market. And why not? The lefty is having a solid year for the otherwise dismal Rays, posting a 3.63 ERA and 1.089 WHIP with a league-leading 144 strikeouts in a league-high 124 innings.

An infusion of fire-balling lefty is just what the Yankees could use to revitalize a rotation that has been decimated by injury.

Price meanwhile is just trying to pitch his way through without being driven nuts by all the trade talk.

“I mean, obviously I think about [a possible trade],” Price told reporters. “That’s why I’ve been in a bad mood the last week and a half. I think about it. You guys know that. And it’s nothing I really want to talk about.”

Try yoga David Price, it can really relax you.
