NBA Rumors: Charlotte Hornets shopping Gerald Henderson
By Josh Hill
The NBA Draft is tonight and that means we’re going to hear plenty of names being mentioned in possible trades by the end of the night. In fact, we’ve already had teams trade players and picks back and forth in the hours leading up to the draft and that should continue into the evening.

It’s beyond the point in which teams can physically trade picks from team to team, as all trades will only happen in principal and be verified after the draft. The Charlotte Hornets have been talking trades all week and the deadline passing this afternoon hasn’t stopped them from shopping players around.
According to ESPN.com’s Chad Ford, the Charlotte Hornets are shopping Gerald Henderson in an effort to pick up another draft pick for Thursday night.
Obviously, the deadline to have the pick itself exchanged to Charlotte has passed, but that doesn’t mean the Hornets will be trying any less to land a player already drafted by using Henderson as a trade chip. While the pick may not ever come to Charlotte the player who gets picked with whatever selection they were targeting still can and that’s the idea of keeping an open mind with Henderson on the market.
Henderson may not end up getting traded but the Hornets know that he’s probably their most expendable asset and he’ll more than likely be used to try and get a deal done if one is truly perused by Charlotte after the draft kicks off.
