The NBA trade rumors are beginning to die down with the 2014 NBA Draft set to begin in less than an hour, but that doesn’t mean some ridiculous speculation is still being thrown around on the interwebs.

In perhaps the most outrageous rumor of the day, there is some discussion about potential talks between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers.
According to the NBA Central rumor — which seems about as crazy as some of the other NBA trade rumors that were thrown at the wall in hopes of sticking — the Celtics would send Rajon Rondo to the Lakers in exchange for the No. 7 overall pick in the draft.
That is what is the point we have reached in the NBA offseason.
Whether or not something seems realistic, it will get thrown at there to generate some discussion.
If there was a slim chance the trade would go down, it would be interesting to see Rondo on the same team as Kobe Bryant and it would almost guarantee the Lakers part ways with aging point guard Steve Nash.
But the likelihood of the trade taking place? Let’s put it at 5 percent.
