As for the rookies, they will get their first chance to show their stuff at the Orlando Pro Summer League and the Las Vegas Pro Summer League, which are both held in July.
Of course, just because the rookies haven’t been in action with their new teams doesn’t mean it is too early to start betting on them.
Our friends over at Bovada have already made Milwaukee Bucks’ forward Jabari Parker the favorite to win the Rookie of the Year Award with 5/1 odds. Parker averaged 19.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 47.3% from the field, 35.8% from beyond the arc and 74.8% from the free throw line for the Blue Devils last season. The last time Parker was officially measured, he came in at 6’8.5 and 240 lbs. with a wingspan of 6’11.5 at the Kevin Durant Camp in 2013.
Now, the folks at Bovada have released a small set of props involving Parker, Cleveland Cavaliers’ forward Andrew Wiggins, his former Kansas teammate and current Philadelphia 76ers’ center Joel Embiid and Chicago Bulls’ forward Doug McDermott.
